Let's keep it simple...

Simply Magnificent.

Your partner for your home improvement projects. I do 3D designs, renovations (facelifts) and interior design plans.

Who am I?

I'm Max, artisan interior designer and perhaps the guy for your next home improvement project. My main focus is on 3D modeling, as well as planning and executing renovations (facelifts) but I also make customised interior design plans.

My journey

Over the past two decades I have worked in several fields varying from teaching children how to play the piano to working as an assistant on a building site. For the past decade I have mainly worked in social and health care. I had thought about trying something new for a while and in 2020 — that unfortunate year — I finally went for it and enrolled in vocational college. I graduated successfully in spring 2022 and I'm now here to help those needing assistance with renovation plans.

Favourite bits of this job

The best part of this type of work is seeing immediate results and one can use his imagination without limits. As I make plans I ask clients to have an open mind for all kinds of extraordinary ideas. The actual work will, of course, be based on clients' wishes but I strongly encourage them to seek unique solutions rather than just following the masses. Trends come and go and blindly following those, in my opinion, is not the recommended route to take. However, it is for you to decide which direction to take, how much or little stuff is wanted and whether you want stuff from a high end store or a variety store. I'll give my two cents worth anyway.

My aesthetic

I, myself, am a proud minimalist who likes clean and straight lines — as you can probably see from looking at my website alone. In interior design my go-to recipe is to have only what you need with some sparse, well thought extras, but include a plethora of plants. I also favour restoring, repurposing and recycling so your or someone else's old stuff can get a new life. Small and simple things can make a huge difference. You need not worry, though, because I'm not going to force you into this mold. Plans and designs will be based on your needs, wishes and budget.

Services

3D Modeling

Get a sneak peek into planned changes with the help of 3D design. Some of us can easily visualise how the space will turn out once all structural changes are completed and materials and furniture are in place, but others need a few more tools for making the decision.

Raw 3D model itself isn't always enough. Sprinkle some magic dust on it and a photo-realistic render — which better shows lights, shadows and how different materials possibly look in that environment — can be created.

Choose this if you have a vision but need confirmation before proceeding to making the changes. I can either make a draft or a more detailed model depending on your needs.

The video clip below may not be suitable for you to watch if fast-moving and flashing video causes any sort of neurological reaction.

Based on measurements given by a client I made a draft of what her children's bedroom might look like with new storage cabinets. The model will be processed further at a later time because a more detailed plan will be made.

Consultation

If you need someone with a fresh pair of eyes to give new perspective and help narrow down choices but would rather do the rest of the work yourself then consultation might be just what you need. We will go through what is wanted of the makeover, what possible problem areas need attention and together we will find solutions that suit your needs. During consultation you will write down suggestions, material choices and other things that come up.

Consultation can take place — depending on circumstances — at your home, in a hardware store or furniture store etc. or even via remote meeting. Depending on the case I may ask to see some documents, such as layout or photos of the space, beforehand.

Renovation & facelifts

Focus on the things that matter the most to you, sit back and relax and watch as your space transforms before your eyes. A huge makeover is not always needed and long awaited facelift can be achieved with just a few smaller changes without getting rid of everything old.

Before taking on the job I will peronally come and take a look at the site. Afterwards you will get a quote with a cost estimate for materials. At the start of the facelift all affected surfaces will be inspected and preparations done in order to ensure that the result will be top notch. Whether you're after a larger scale facelift or just need a fresh coat of paint or wallpaper on a single wall, it can all be done. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me and tell me about the project you have in mind.

Interior Design

Would you rather let someone else pay attention to details than drown in the sea of choices. Interior Design plan is tailored to your needs — whether it is just a section of a room or entire house. If you're worried about the result, worry not: it will be done based on your style with some added extra here and there.

Before I get down to designing I will have a meeting with you where we go through your wishes, budget and other cruicial elements. At the same time we both get to have an idea whether this would be a fruitful deal or not.

Design plan comes with written specifications that list all furnishing and materials (with pictures), including prices and where to buy them. It may also be accompanied with 3D images, moodboard, layout with measurements and other necessary documentation.
